Cerezo is a 7-year old PRE gelding. I bought him from Sweden when he was 1 year, so we've been together almost all his life. When he was three he was with me to Denmark, where we got a lot of help with the basic work from the ground. When he was four I started riding him and on the autumn he also got castrated. Last year he got some problems with his teeth and during the summer he also got diagnosed with bone spavin, so we had a tough year, but now he is much better.
Lately we have worked a lot with longeing and cross over/ long rein-position. I think it's so interesting to work from the ground and there is always new things to learn and new angels on things. So I'm hoping to get some feedback on the work we've done and guidance on how to continue. This is the third clinic that me and Cerezo will participate in.

My name is Katarina, and I come from Ostrobothnia in Western Finland. When I bought my first horse in 2007, I participated in a clinic in the Academic Art of Riding, and have been stuck since then. The first couple of years I combined AAoR with English dressage, which I also competed in. I have during the years ridden for a few Bent Branderup ® Trainers from all over Europe, but mostly for Anna-Clara Olofsson. In 2013 I was at Michelle Wolf’s place in Denmark as a working student. I have also ridden for Bent a few times and last year I made the Squire-test with my warmblood-trotter. Right now I also participate in Christofer Dahlgren’s “Intensive course“, which consists of 4 steps (4 weeks) during 2015-2017. I have also done some liberty work and think it’s a good compliment to the AAoR. In my hometown I work part time with teaching (giving lessons) and training horses.

When he was four I started riding him and on the autumn he also got castrated. Last year he went straight forward and did really well with both groundwork and riding, but unfortunately this year he got a lot of problems with his teeth and during the summer he also got diagnosed with bone spavin, so he has lost both weight and muscles. Now he is almost back on track, so I have started to work with him again. I take it easy and try to make it fun for him. So right now we don’t have any specific plans or goals, but we look forward to be riding for Bent again!

Samtidigt som jag köpte min första häst 2007 började jag intressera mig för akademisk ridkonst. Vid sidan om tävlade jag även dressyr några år innan jag tappade intresset för tävlandet och övergick helt till AR. Under åren har jag ridit för flera riddare och licenserade Branderup och 2013 tog jag med mig två hästar och åkte på en tre månaders praktikperiod till Michelle Wolf i Danmark. En mycket lärorik tid som jag kommer ha med mig länge. Idag tränar jag regelbundet för Anna-Clara Olofsson, och har även påbörjat Intensivutbildningen i AR för Christofer Dahlgren. I år gjorde jag ett godkänt groundwork-longeprov, samt väpnarprov med min varmblodstravare. Jag är därmed den andra från Finland som är medlem i Riddarskapet. Förutom att nå högre nivå i min egen ridning är jag även intresserad av hur AR kan vara en rehabiliteringsform för en skadad eller sjuk häst. Jag undervisar även regelbundet inom AR.
Cerezo, PRE-valack, 5 år. Cerezo köpte jag från Sverige som 1 årig hingst, och han är tänkt att bli min nästa skolhäst. Som tre-åring var han med på praktikperioden i Danmark där vi fick mycket hjälp med arbetet från marken. Som 4-åring red jag in honom och samma år blev han kastrerad. I år har jag kunnat börja med hans skolning från ryggen "på riktigt". Vi skyndar sakta och kan idag ta lite skolor i skritt och trav, men jobbar även en del med galoppen. Cerezo är mycket lättlärd och trevlig att jobba med. Jag hoppas vi kan utvecklas och får många år tillsammans.
